Emotional Impact of Flowers Research Study
In the floral industry we understand the positive impact flowers have on people. To demonstrate this scientifically, SAF partnered with world-renowned researcher Jeannette Haviland-Jones, Ph.D., of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, on a groundbreaking study to examine the effect of flowers on human emotion and well being. The research provides scientific proof that flowers increase happiness and life satisfaction and lead to increased contact with family and friends. This is the complete analysis of the study.
Flowers & Seniors Research Study
Forget the fountain of youth; new scientific research proves flowers help senior citizens cope with the challenges of aging. The evidence comes from a six-month behavioral study for which SAF partnered with Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, to explore what effect flowers have on seniors. This is the complete analysis of the study.
Impact of Flowers & Plants in the Workplace
Conducted in partnership with Texas A&M University, the Workplace Study demonstrates that idea generation, creative performance and problem-solving skills improve substantially in workplace environments that include flowers and plants. SAF released the findings from the eight-month research project in September 2003.
Consumer Attitudes & Behaviors Study
Conducted in 2005, SAF's Consumer Attitudes & Behaviors About Floral Purchasing Study explores public beliefs, attitudes and behaviors relative to floral products, capabilities and benefits; purchase patterns; venue preferences and expectations; and key purchase "triggers" and barriers. The study further examines the impact of key demographic factors (gender, age, income, education) on overall attitudes, preferences and pruchase behaviors. This is a complete report of the detailed and study findings.
